7 days in Albania

First day

The arrival at the new terminal Tirana International Airport “Mother Tereza” or at Durres Harbour. After the meeting with our tourist guide, you go on with your trip toward Tirana, Capital city of Albania.

  • The accommodation  in the hotel.
  • Dinner
  • Night life(live music)

 

Second day

After having breakfast, you will spend a whole day in Tirana.

  • A visit in the National Historic Museum.
  • A visit in the Center Square of Tirana “Scanderbeg”, where you will see the statue of  our national  hero Gjergj Kastrioti. There you can find the Classical Buildings of 1930, which are residences of  The Ministries and City Council..
  • Also you will see “Sahati” Tower which is 35m high and  the “Ethem Beu” Mosqeu.
  • A visit in the paleo-christian  church of the third century.
  • You will have a lunch in Dajti mountain. It is (1612m )high and there you will go by a telpher.
  • You will enjoy the Panorama of the city and the beauty of Dajti’s Park.
  • In the afternoon you will have a walk in the main avenues of Tirana.
  • A coffee at “Rinia” Park in the centre of the city.

Third day

After having breakfast in the hotel you are ready to start your journey toward Kruja city, an important historic centre.It is connected with the resistance of our nation against ottomans  under the leadership of Scanderbeg. This resistance did not allow the ottomans to cross The Adriatic Sea.

A visit in Kruja Castle, walking  down the Medivial Bazzar, where you can find and buy lots of artisan objects.

  • After the lunch, your journey continues toward Scodra, which is in the North of Albania.
  • A brief visit in Lezha city, a city that is inhabited since the Ilirians Period (5-4 century BC) up to now.
  • A visit in  “Saint Kol “church, where there is the Memorial of the National Hero “Scanderbeg”. There you can see copies of his original weapons. His original weapons are in Wienna Historic Museum.
  • In Scodra  you will see the big Catholic Church, where Pope John-Paul the second put the first stone for its building in 1993, after the communist dictatorship.
  • A visit in “Plumbi “ Mosque  building of 1773.
  • A visit in “Rozafa” Castle, rebuilt in the 14thC on the foundations of thre Ilirian Castle of 2ndC BC.
  • The return in Tirana. Dinner and sleeping in Tirana.


The fourth day

  • After having breakfast in the hotel you are ready to start your journey toward the 3000 years old city of Durres.
  • A visit in the amphitheatre (the only one in Albania for gladiators fighting.)
  • The Cap of the Amphitheatre, with a parietal mosaic.
  • The Bizantic Wall.
  • The Venecian Castle.

After lunch you will have a visit in the church of the apostul Paul and Saint Asti.

  • A visit in the Archeological  Museum.

Dinner, live music and sleeping in Durres or Tirana.

 

The fifth  day

After having breakfast in the hotel you start your journey toward Berat City (2004 years old).

  • A visit in Berati Castle .As you walk through the roads and as you see the stone houses, the churches and mosques it seems to you as the time stops.
  • A visit in Saint Maria church, now “Onufri” Museum. It is given the name of a great painter, who has painted the walls of the churches as The Holy Trinity” , “Saint Thomas” etc.
  • A visit in the water tank of the old city.
  • A visit in the mosques of the castle.

After living  Berat you continue your journey toward the monastery of the Saint Maria in Ardenica.

  • A visit in Saint Maria church (13thC) that is known for its marvelous aphresques.

After having lunch in Ardenica your journey continues in the Antique city of Apolonia.

  • A visit in the Antique city, amphitheatre, in the library’s ruins, and the city’s Acropolis.
  • A visit in the Archeological Museum which is in a 13thC Monastery.

The Sixth day

After having breakfast in the hotel you start your journey toward the antique city of Butrinti, which is protected from UNESCO according to the importance and beauty that it has got.

  • A visit in the antique city , where we will see Acropolis, Lion’s Gate, Baptist mosaics etc up to the  Venecian buildings.
  • A visit in the Archeological Museum.

After lunch you travel toward Vlora, through the Albanian Coast.

  • A brief visit in the Ali Pacha Tepelena Castle in Porto Palermo.
  • A visit in LLogara National Park which is called “Jon balcony.”
  • Dinner and sleeping in Vlora.


Seventh day

After having the breakfast in the hotel a short visit in the city and after that you go directly in the “Rinas” airport or Durres Harbour.
